After almost three years, I’m now finally writing about our epic journey to the ancient kingdom of Khmer in northwestern Cambodia. It once ruled the entire Mekong River valley from its capital Angkor. It was destroyed and somewhat forgotten, but the site was rediscovered in 1860.
