What would we gain if we look down on others? What would we gain if we discriminate people because of their color, beliefs and status in life? Who gives us the right to do that?
What would we gain if we exploit the earth's resources because of greed? Do we own them? We are merely stewards.
We all came to this world with nothing and we will also leave with nothing. King Solomon in all his splendor even said, "I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind." Ecclesiastes 1:14
We should not boast but if we do, boast in the Lord who created the universe. In a twinkling of an eye everything we hold dear could vanish. No one knows when but it is certain that everything on earth has an end.
We should stop this discrimination. We should stop this bullying. They may be subtle but people can feel. Words can hurt even if they are only written.
We should stop this plunder. We should stop this exploitation. Nature is crying out.
In a country that is so divided geographically, we should be united in our fight against injustices that are happening in this fallen world. No matter where we come from, we are all Filipinos.
In a world with borders, we should join our hands to make this planet a better place to live in. There is no such thing as a superior race or superior language. No matter where we come from, we are all mortals.
